Here is an app that you can use to listen to more than 100,000 radio stations across the world for absolutely free. The TuneIn radio has the largest collection of Sports, News, Music and Talk radio from around the world. What makes this app even more interesting is the fact that, there are quite a number of local channels which you can listen to. with TuneIn radio, you can listen to radio stations of your choice wherever you are, provided you have an active data services.

Like I said earlier, one of the best thing about this app is the fact that there are a lot of local radio stations such as Cool FM (Abuja, PH & Lagos), Wazobia FM (Abuja, PH & Lagos), The Beats FM Lagos, Biafra Radio, Eko FM. Radio Palm wine and so many of them.

If you are staying in the city, you may not really see the need to use this app, except for the fact that, you may want to listen to international radio stations or radio stations in other countries. Like me for instance, I use to listen to OK FM, (Ghana), Heart FM (London) and other radio stations across the world. If you stay in the rural area or will be traveling to a rural area where there is no access to radio stations, then this is a must-have app for you.  This is one of the best app I've come across in recent times.

Please note that TuneIn radio is a streaming app so you will need to have an active data subscription. Base on my experience, the rate at which it consumes data is to some extent reasonable. On average, it uses around 500kb per minute.That is, 1mb = 2 minutes.
