#1. AVAST MOBILE SECURITY

Best Avast Antivirus for Android

While malware is not a common occurrence in Android OS, leaving your device without any form of protection is also a chance not worth taking. Based on my experience of most popular android mobile security, I come to agree that Avast Mobile Security is the best. That is not to say that there no are better antivirus like AVG, Bitdefender etc, but I consider this as the best, owing to the fact that it is completely free. Avast mobile security not only comes packed with antimalware tools, but also has anti-theft tools, privacy tools, and more.

Google Keep has several features including color coding notes, inserting images, creating lists, geo-fencing, shareable notes, and search by color. Users can set time or location-based reminders for notes. Reminders set through Keep are also accessible by other Google applications such as Gmail. You can add notes, lists and photos to Google Keep and also record a voice memo and Keep will transcribe it so you can find it later. If however you are not okay with Google keep, you can try Evernote or OneNote. These are the best alternatives to Google keep, but we can discuss that another time.  Google keep is absolutely free.

Items you saved on pocket can be sync across your entire device so you can access it anywhere. You can also use Pocket on the desktop by installing the browser extension. Pocket is one of my most used android apps. There is hardly a day that I cannot use Pocket.

#4. LASTPASS

Best password manager app for android

Do you always forget your password? Do you have several email accounts that make it difficult for you to remember their respective passwords? Do you always visit sites that require login? Worry no more. Lastpass is an Android app that allows you to save login details from any app that requires you to login so that you'll never need to remember the password (it does the remembering for you). With LastPass, you only need to remember one password, which is the password you'll need to login to the main dashboard of the app. I've been using this app for a very long time and I must say this is one of the best tools I've ever used. You can equally download LastPass browser extension and used it on the desktop. This app is not absolutely free, you need to subscribe but you will be given a 14-day trial and the browser extension is absolutely free. All in all, it is worth trying.

best photo app for android

Snapseed is Google’s free photo editing app. This app brings to your mobile device the power and control of professional photo editing software, previously only available on the desktop. Now with the tap of a finger you can retouch, adjust perspective, re-edit, and more. With Snapseed, you can tune in image, retouch, adjust, rotate, crop. In addition, you can use a brush to selectively apply effects to a region of an image. Snapseed is really cool and is absolutely free. You can also try Picarts which also does the same thing with Snapseed. Picsart is amazingly cool too.

#6. SWIFTKEY

Best android keyboard app

Swiftkey has been my favorite keyboard for almost three years now. As a matter of fact, it is my most used Android app. One good thing about Swiftkey is its predictive ability. SwiftKey learns your writing style to suggest your next word. Enter a whole word with a single tap, instead of typing letter by letter, and nothing can be better than this. Swiftkey is fast and highly responsive. It has a collection of uniquely design themes to style your keyboard.

#7. GREENIFY

Auto hibernation app

Greenify is an auto hibernation app that let you take absolute control of your Smartphone by telling it which app to run or which app to put to sleep. Greenify help you identify and put those stubborn apps into hibernation when you are not using them, to stop them from lagging your device and leeching the battery, in a unique way! They can do nothing without explicit launch by you or other apps while still preserving full functionality when running in the foreground. The latest version of Greenify supports auto hibernation in both rooted and non-rooted device. So if you notice your phone running slower or the battery is dying fast, then it’s a time you give Greenify a try.

#8. ACTION LAUNCHER 3

Best android launcher

Action Launcher 3 is one of the best Android Launcher around. If you have been using the Android stock launcher all this while, then I urge you to give Action launcher 3 a try. Unlike other launchers that rely on customization using other apps like icon packs, Action launcher comes with its own customized icons.
Action launcher 3 organizes your app drawer in an alphabetical order, such that it becomes very easier to locate an app without having to go through a long search. You only need to swipe from an angle and the whole apps will appear.
Inspired by material design, Action launcher uses the Lollipop color schemes such that it changes your notification bar to adapt to the current wallpaper which you are using.

Best office suite for Android

If you are an old Android user then you should be familiar with KingSoft Office, that’s what WPS was formally known as. This app use to be a premium app when it was KingSoft but since they have changed their name to WPS, there has been a tremendous improvement on the performance of this app and more importantly it is now absolutely free. WPS is one of the best Office suites you can find around.
This app is best recommended for people who are looking to get the editing done. It has all the features you can ever wish to have an office suite. However, if you have some Naira to doll out, then  I will recommend Office Suite 8 for you which is probably the best out there. If goes for around $20 which you can purchase via Google Play in-app purchase.
WPS have a clean User interface and very easy to use. It has Word processing, spreadsheet and Power presentation, and a PDF reader.
